Who am I?
That’s a secret. For now. You will know approximately everything there is to know about me except for who I am. That’s on purpose. I need anonymity in order to post honestly. Not because I’m a criminal or anything, but because I feel like writing about some things that I don’t want to talk about with my family/friends/coworkers.
Why make it public then?
Because I think there are so many people out there struggling with reinventing their lives. I don’t have the blueprint, and I’m not a life coach. But I am someone on that same journey, trying to make sense of it, and trying to become the main character in my own life.
What is this place?
Life, Under Construction is part journal, part accountability project, and part existential crisis with a domain.
I’m trying to build a life I actually want to participate in. In order to do that I need a serious overhaul. My mental and physical health will come first. This includes my habits and my relationships. Especially the relationship I have with myself.
However, I’m not going to be logging my meals or step count on this blog. At least not as a rule. I’ll be documenting what I try, the tools I use, some think pieces, and honestly just whatever the hell I want. If you want to know something specific, hit me up!
Some posts will be heavy, some will be chaotic, some hopeful. Others will be dull. Just like life.
A few things I CAN tell you:
- I love writing, hence the blog instead of a TikTok.
- I am unreasonably hard on myself while also having no self discipline. Make that make sense.
- I’ve learned to love the little things. The further along on this journey I get, the more I enjoy just the simplest things. It’s life-changing.
- I live in a place with seasons. So just know that there will be some Seasonal Depression going on during the winter.
- I’m not a contractor. I just came up with the name and the metaphor got out of hand. It’s like a train that just won’t stop.
- The art on this page is AI. There are several reasons for it that I won’t get into, but just know that I’d love to get a real artist to do it when I have the opportunity to.
